Love Notes

The excitement of summer is officially gone, and we've finally settled into our daily routines for the school year at our household.

It's crazy to think it has already been more than a month since school started, and we're just starting to feel like we've got this under control...

Anyhow, one thing I started doing this year that I now LOVE doing is sending little notes in the boys' lunch bags.

It's usually a short little message written on a post-it note (don't you love my half-a** effort?), but I try to put a little encouragement first and then end with the same sentence out of this book boys and I have loved and repeated to each other ever since they were little.

It lets me imagine them opening the lunchboxes in their big boy school cafeteria and somehow makes me feel connected to them...
