Weekend Overview: Gamers' Children will be Gamers

After a whole week of just barely surviving, our family finally got over the flu. As a mom, there's nothing harder than to watch your little ones suffer--wait, I take that back! It is absolutely awful to watch your little ones suffer while you are suffering too!

Since the boys finally felt well enough to venture out by the end of the weekend, we went to the Robinson twins' birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese's.

If you are one of the lucky people who do not know what Chuck-E-Cheese's is all about, it is sort of like an arcade designed for children. They have tons of kid-friendly games that you can play, and depending on how well you play, you receive tickets, which you can exchange for prizes at the end. They always have great time every time we go there, but our boys' favorite seems to be the rollercoaster ride:

You sit on a bench like this, and...

watch a screen like this while your seat tilts and bumps simulating a rollercoaster...

Speaking of gaming, our latest craze around here has been the Rock Band game. It is a Guitar Hero times four (literally) since players can play vocal, guitar, base, and drum! We had such a great time "practicing" with our band; My Pine, Your Forest.

With our fellow band members; MasterBeats and CC

There is a saying that "the apple does not fall far from the tree," but there is nothing more true than that when it comes to our family...
