After a whole month of cold weather, we finally had a nice, warm weekend. Despite Jay's wish to enjoy "6 more weeks of Christmas time," it so seems that the spring time is just around the corner for us.

On Saturday night, Janice and Collin took us to Fonda San Miguel Restaurant for the first time.
Rachid was not completely happy with the fact that they did not have any beer on tap, but their Mexican martini was pretty good (although not as good as Trudy's in my opinion). Aside from the beautiful interior and exquisite artworks, though, I was not as thrilled about thier food. I had their scallops with smoked-pasilla chile pepper sauce.
Although the scallops were fresh and nicely done, the sauce was way too over-powering for my taste. I believe less is more especially when it comes to the seafood... Maybe I will try one of their signature dishes (as Janice suggested to begin with!) next time.
We rushed Rachid over to The Draught House as soon as we got out of Fonda San Miguel just in time to save him from the rapid decrease in beer balance in his bloodstream.

On Sunday, after performing mundane weekend duties around the house, we went over to a Superbowl party at Irene and Mitch's house.
Irene mentioned that it was going to be "just a small get-together with only the closest friends," but in Texas, a small get-together ends up looking like this:
Our Rock Band craze is still going strong...
Ever-growing members of My Pine; Your Forest.
Rachid says that the highlight of his night was when Jay saved the fellow vocalist from getting kicked off the stage during our live session. After witnessing the supposedly-one-of-the-best games in the superbowl history, the accusation surrounding his manliness that has been circulating around for a while now is really starting to grow on my mind...
