These People Are Not Afraid of Death

The more I observe the locals here, the more I realize that these people are just not afraid to die. They will cross a busy intersection hoping that the car that's coming toward them will; first, see them, and second, have enough time to react. But the surprising thing is that we haven't witnessed a fatal accident yet. Maybe they're so used to it that they can clear the scene of accident so quickly...

Last night, we went to see an amazing Chinese acrobat show, ERA, by New Shanghai Circus.

It is truly a miracle that they only had one man down during the show (an inverted knee, ouch!). Our awesome friend was able to hook us up with the front center seats, and we just had such a great time. (Despite the fact that I ruined my newly-done French nails by chewing on them to release stress during the show!)

Here is some footage that I found on YouTube.

And some more...

If you catch yourself in Shanghai with nothing to do one night (which is very rare!), I highly recommend this show.
