Consequences

I just finished reading this month's book club book; Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum.
What an extraordinary story...
When I finally finished it, I literally had to sit there with the book on my lap for a minute before I could pick myself up again.

I loved that it made such a great attempt at explaining how these ordinary civilians could possibly come to support (or just even live with) such an inhumane regime.
And what really set this book apart, in my eyes, was that it realistically told how intricate and powerful the consequences of such actions (or non-actions in some case) could be, affecting lives even a generation later.

I know some of you were not the biggest fan of this book.
