I can't believe how early Easter was this year.
Once I heard Amy Sedaris saying that her mother used to tell her that Greek Easter came later because then you get stuff cheaper. They must be enjoying a normal Easter for once this year!
I love being a mom, period. But I really love being a mom on holidays.
Children make holidays that much more special, exciting, and eventful!
This year, we decided to try to tie dye eggs.
There was a kit that I purchased at Walmart that contained really concentrated dye, and all you do is drop a droplet of color, rub it in, twist the egg, and repeat with a different color until the whole egg is colored.
We also put the foil rub over it to make it super cool--too bad that the pictures don't quite show how awesome they turned out!
In the afternoon, we had a fun egg hunt party at Ms. Kitty Marshall's house.
After the hunt, we saw our poor Jay giving away most of his candies since he was not allowed to have anything chewy, gummie, or that contained nuts because of his expander. What a great kid. Not sure what I've done to deserve such a sweet soul...
For our big Easter Dinner, we decided to start our own tradition this year and have awesome fajitas and margaritas! Our next door neighbor has truly become our family away from family on those family holidays--we love you guys lots and thanks for becoming a part of us!
